The family and friends of 24-year-old Elizabeth Pearce are preparing to say their final goodbyes as they lay her to rest after her tragic death in a car crash.
The young woman was killed when a Jaguar, allegedly driven by obstetrician Rhys Bellinge, crashed into the Uber she was in on Dalkeith’s Birdwood Parade on February 15.
A Life Cut Short
Elizabeth, a Woodside intern and University of WA graduate, was a bright and beautiful young woman who brought joy to everyone around her.
Her family has described their world as “shattered” after her passing, and the community is still reeling from the news. A funeral mass will be held at St Joseph’s Church in Subiaco on March 6 to celebrate her life.

Outpouring of Support
More than a week after the crash, mourners continue to visit the site, leaving flowers, notes, and other tributes to honor Elizabeth’s memory.
The tree near the crash site has become a makeshift memorial, with dozens of floral arrangements, colorful butterfly ornaments, and heartfelt messages.
One note reads, “We are so sad to say farewell dear Liz,” while another says, “RIP, bless you.” The outpouring of support is a testament to the impact Elizabeth had on those around her.
Investigation Continues
As the community mourns Elizabeth’s death, police are continuing their investigation into the crash.
They have issued a public plea for more witnesses who saw the blue Jaguar in the lead-up to the collision to come forward.
The allegations against Rhys Bellinge, who is from one of Perth’s richest families, are confronting, and the community is eagerly awaiting justice.
Remembering Elizabeth
Elizabeth’s family has described her as their “beautiful, bright girl” who brought sunshine to their lives. Her passing has left a darkness that will be hard to fill.
As the community comes together to support her loved ones, we remember Elizabeth’s life and the impact she had on those around her. Rest in peace, Elizabeth.
