Chilling CCTV footage has emerged showing the last known moments of missing Queensland mum Tayla Spies, 29, who vanished almost three weeks ago.
The footage, released by police, shows Tayla walking in a pink shirt and light coloured shorts, carrying a large red bag towards her white 2017 Toyota Hilux.
Desperate Search Efforts Continue
Tayla was last seen leaving a hotel in Dalby around 8am on February 2, and was later spotted driving towards Surat.
Detective Chief Inspector Garry Watts said police are searching a vast area of 9,000 square kilometers, but are struggling to narrow down the search due to the lack of information.
“We’re urging anyone who may have seen Tayla or her vehicle to come forward,” Inspector Watts said. “We’re concerned for her health and safety, and we need the public’s help to find her.”
Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage
Police are appealing for anyone who was traveling in the area on February 2 between 10:30am and 12:30pm to check their dashcam footage.
The search area includes Yuleba, Wullambilla South, east to Roma, south to Teelba past Surat, and west to Glenmorgan and Meandarra.
“We’re asking local farmers to check their properties for any sign of Tayla or her vehicle,” Inspector Watts said. “We’re frustrated that we haven’t been able to find her yet, and we need the public’s help to bring her home.”
Emotional Plea from Tayla’s Family
Tayla’s family is urging anyone with information to come forward, and has released a heartfelt plea to Tayla herself.
“Sissy, if you’re watching this, we want you to know that you’re loved and cherished by so many people,” said Tayla’s sister, Rebecca.
“We miss you and want you to come home. If you need a break, that’s okay, but please just let us know that you’re safe.”
