Tragic Crash in Rural New South Wales
A devastating incident has shaken the small community of Tottenham, approximately 140km north-west of Parkes, after a recreational aircraft went down in a paddock, claiming the life of its pilot.
What Happened?
The crash occurred at around 3:40 pm on Monday, with local police from the Central West Police District rushing to the scene on Meadowview Road.
Unfortunately, the 48-year-old pilot, a local resident, did not survive the accident.
As the investigation unfolds, authorities are preparing a report for the coroner to determine the cause of the tragic event.

A Coincidence or Unrelated Incident?
Interestingly, police were already in the area searching for a suspect in relation to a stolen car, which was reported missing from a worksite near Narromine around 2 pm.
The driver of the stolen vehicle is still at large, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Investigation Underway
Recreational Aircraft Australia has taken the lead in investigating the crash, working closely with local authorities to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As the community mourns the loss of the pilot, officials are working tirelessly to provide answers and ensure such tragedies are prevented in the future.
