- Speed limits will be reduced in tourist-driven areas, such as the Hervey Bay Esplanade
- Fines will increase for speeding, mobile phone, and seatbelt violations
South Australia
- Drivers must slow down to 25km/h when passing roadside or breakdown recovery vehicles flashing amber lights
- Failure to comply could result in a fine of up to $1648 and the loss of up to seven demerit points
Western Australia
- Speed limits on certain roads will be reduced, including a reduction from 100km/h to 70km/h on sealed roads west of the Bussell Highway
- Speed limits on major urban roads will be reduced to 60km/h in built-up areas
