Kelsey Grammer, the beloved star of Frasier, is set to become a dad for the eighth time at the age of 70.
His wife, Kayte, 46, was recently spotted in London with a noticeable baby bump, and sources close to the couple have confirmed the exciting news.
A Growing Family
The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, already have three kids together: daughter Faith, 12, and sons Kelsey Gabriel, 10, and Auden “James” Ellis, 8.
This new addition will be Kayte’s fifth child and Kelsey’s eighth.
The actor also has four older kids from previous relationships: Spencer, 41, Greer, 33, Mason, 23, and Jude, 20.
A New Chapter for Kelsey
After wrapping up filming for the Frasier reboot, Kelsey is shifting his focus from his career to his family.
“He’s hung up his hat on that character and is ready for the next phase of his life,” a source revealed.
“He’s looking forward to being a hands-on dad and making up for lost time.” In a recent interview, Kelsey opened up about his regrets as a father, admitting that he neglected some of his older kids.
However, he’s determined to do things differently this time around.
A Fresh Approach to Fatherhood
Kelsey has learned from his past mistakes and is taking a more intentional approach to parenting his younger kids.
“I’m a little more specific with them about doing their studies and being prepared,” he said.
“I tell them, ‘What’s your job in life? Showing up.'” With his new baby on the way, Kelsey is excited to embark on this new chapter and be a more present and involved dad.
Love is in the Air
The pregnancy has brought a renewed spark to Kelsey and Kayte’s marriage, according to sources. “Kelsey is thrilled to finally have time to fully enjoy being a father all over again,” an insider shared.
“He’s been incredibly supportive of Kayte throughout this pregnancy, and it’s reignited a spark in their marriage that they both needed.”
Congratulations to the happy couple on their growing family!
