A disturbing incident has rocked the Sydney community, with a senior police officer charged for allegedly assaulting two women in a domestic violence incident.
What Happened?
On February 9, 2025, police received a distress call from a home in Caringbah, where a 53-year-old man, who is a senior constable with a specialist command, allegedly attacked two women, aged 53 and 36, during a heated altercation.
Investigation Unfolds
The suspect was taken into custody and brought to Sutherland Police Station, where he was later released pending further investigation.
However, after a thorough inquiry, the officer was issued a court attendance notice on June 20, 2025, charging him with common assault (domestic violence) and common assault.
The Officer’s Fate
The accused will face Sutherland Local Court on August 6, 2025.
