Human Remains Found in Search for Missing Melbourne Man Joshua Bishop
Police have made a breakthrough in the search for Joshua Bishop, a 23-year-old Victorian man who went missing a month ago.
Human remains have been discovered, and a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the case.
The Investigation
A search warrant was carried out at a home on Erinbank Crescent in Westmeadows, north-west Melbourne, leading to the discovery of the human remains.
A crime scene has been established, and police from the major crime scene unit will process the scene. The remains have not been formally identified.
A Desperate Plea for Help
Joshua Bishop’s family issued an urgent plea for information earlier this month, describing his disappearance as “out of character.”
His mother, Kristie, said, “Josh was really open with me, we had a really good relationship. This is not something he would do unless he felt he had to.”
A Loved Son and a Mysterious Disappearance
Bishop’s father, Travis, said his son was “loved by everyone” and doesn’t believe he would have any enemies. “Someone has to know something,” he said.
The family has received a lot of support, but they are still no closer to finding their son, which is hard for them.
