Police have halted their search for the missing head of a man whose former reality star partner, Tamika Chesser, has been charged with murder.
The gruesome crime has left the community shaken, and investigators are still trying to piece together the events leading up to the murder.
Tamika Chesser, 34, was a former contestant on the reality TV show Beauty and the Geek and has been arrested and charged with murder, destroying human remains to pervert the course of justice, and assaulting an emergency worker.
She is currently being held at James Nash House, a psychiatric facility.
A Widespread Search Comes to an End
A multi-agency search involving SES volunteers, SAPOL Water Operations Unit divers, and local patrols has been searching for the missing head in reserves, parks, ocean, and bushland in the Port Lincoln area.
However, the search has been suspended, and police say it may resume in the future.
While the field search has been halted, investigators are still combing through CCTV footage to find new locations of interest.
They are trying to create a picture of Tamika’s movements on the week of the murder, particularly between midnight on Tuesday and the time the fire was reported at 3.30 pm on Thursday afternoon.
A Disturbing Crime
Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke described the circumstances of the murder as “particularly harrowing, confronting, and distressing.”
He acknowledged the “pain and grief” people close to the man would likely be feeling.
“We know that after his alleged murder, Julian’s body was dismembered, and while I won’t provide any further detail about that at this time, I can tragically say that we have not recovered the head of Julian Story,” he said.
The police are still trying to find Mr. Story’s head and are tracking Ms. Chesser’s movements in the aftermath of the alleged crime in the hope of locating his remains.
They have appealed to the public for help in tracking her movements between June 17 and June 19.
A Look into Tamika’s Past
Tamika Chesser has a history of working as an OnlyFans adult content creator and appearing in men’s magazines including Ralph and FHM.
Her social media profiles are filled with racy and glamorous images. She has also posted a series of images that appear to reflect Jewish and Hindu mythology.
In a post from June 2024, she writes at length about her “spiritual journey.” “Our Creator our Father and our Mother Nature our Earth are crying out to us all,” she writes.
“What do you think your ancestors would say in regards to the life you’re currently living? Would they be proud?”
