Nola Q. Dinkins, a 3-year-old girl, was found dead and wrapped in Saran Wrap inside a suitcase, and now her mother and boyfriend are facing charges.
According to the Maryland State Police, Nola’s mother, Darrian Randle, reported her kidnapped on June 10, but it was all a lie.
After an Amber Alert was issued, law enforcement officials searched Randle’s last known address in North East, Md., where they found her boyfriend, 41-year-old Cedrick Antoine Britten.
Investigators soon discovered human remains in a vacant lot, which were later identified as Nola’s.
A Web of Lies and Deceit
Randle was arrested and charged with first and second-degree murder, as well as child abuse resulting in death.
Britten was charged with accessory to first- and second-degree murder after the fact, failure to report child death, and other related criminal charges.
Randle allegedly admitted to beating Nola with a belt until she was unconscious, then driving around with her body before leaving it on the basement stairs.
A GoFundMe Set Up to Help with Funeral Costs
Nola’s father has set up a GoFundMe to help arrange her funeral and cover associated costs.
Britten is facing 11 charges related to Nola’s death, including child abuse resulting in death, child abuse, and child neglect.
