A devastating discovery was made in the Perth suburb of Balcatta on Monday evening when a baby was found dead in a home.
Homicide Squad detectives have launched an investigation into the infant’s death, which is still in its early stages.
The baby was under 12 months old, and family members are currently cooperating with detectives to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
St John Ambulance responded to the scene shortly after 3am on Monday morning, and a woman was taken to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
