Beloved Australian actress Magda Szubanski has shared a heartwarming update with her fans amid her battle with stage 4 mantle Cell Lymphoma, a rare and fast-moving type of blood cancer.
Taking to Instagram, the 64-year-old shared a hilarious video showcasing her latest obsession – a Lego Land Rover set.
“Having the cancer is not all bad because look…,” she joked, revealing her new toy.
“I am such an 11-year-old boy trapped in a 64-year-old lesbian’s body,” she quipped, adding that she’s “getting so bored now.”
A Bit of Good News Amidst the Battle
In her caption, Magda shared further context, revealing that the upside of having cancer is getting to enjoy her new Lego set.
“Thank you @lego and @thrivepr for my new Lego Land Rover classic Defender. This will keep me busy for a bit,” she said.
Magda also sneaked in a significant update, mentioning that she’s experiencing “chemo-induced numbness in fingertips” but has planned ahead, ordering a building kit with pliers and finger protectors.
