US President Donald Trump has lashed out at some of his former supporters, calling them “weaklings” who are buying into the “bulls–t” about the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
In a Truth Social post, Trump declared that the Epstein controversy is a “SCAM” and a “hoax” perpetuated by Democrats to attack him.
“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote.
Trump claimed that the Epstein controversy is distracting from the successes of his presidency, saying he has had more success in six months than perhaps any President in US history.
“I don’t want their support anymore!” Trump exclaimed, disavowing his own supporters who continue to press for more information on the Epstein matter.
This is Trump’s strongest rebuke of his own supporters, many of whom have been vocally furious about his administration’s handling of the Epstein matter.
Trump has dismissed the controversy as sordid and uninteresting, but his latest post marks a new level of anger towards his own allies.
