A devastating incident has shaken the rural town of Hivesville, about two hours inland from Noosa, as an 18-year-old teenager from Kingaroy lost his life after being struck by a ute early Saturday morning.
The young man was “lying on the roadway” when the Toyota Hilux hit him at around 6 am on Wondai Proston Rd.
Despite efforts to save him, the teenager suffered critical injuries and sadly died at the scene.
Queensland Police are currently investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers.
This tragic event serves as a reminder to always be vigilant and cautious when using our roads.
