A 51-year-old woman was found dead at her home in Deer Park, Melbourne, after an argument escalated into violence.
The incident occurred on Thursday night, with police finding the victim’s body at around 11:45 pm.
Roommate Arrested and Hospitalized Under Police Guard
A 38-year-old woman, believed to be the victim’s roommate, has been arrested and is currently under police guard in hospital.
Two other people, a 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, were also arrested but have since been released without charge.
Neighbours Describe Chaotic Scene
Witnesses in the area reported hearing loud noises and arguments coming from the property, with some even calling the police due to the disturbance.
One neighbour stated, “I had to call the police just last week because the music was so loud, it started at 3 am.”
Another neighbour added, “They’ve had heaps of people coming in and out, like real rowdy. Every night they have music blaring.”
Forensic Investigation Underway
Forensic police spent hours combing through the crime scene, searching for evidence and clues.
