Kyle Sandilands was left stunned when his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson shared her post-contract plans.
Despite having nine years left on their $200 million contract with the Australian Radio Network (ARN), Jackie O has already set her sights on a new adventure.
When Kyle mentioned his dream of living in a “French chateau”, Jackie shared her own aspirations of living in Italy for six months every year.
“That’s my plan, at the end of the 10 years to go to Italy and live there for six months every year,” she said.
Kyle was taken aback by the revelation, asking Jackie if she meant to say that their radio partnership would come to an end after their contract.
“So what you’re saying after this 10-year deal’s up, that’s it for you?” he asked, to which Jackie simply replied, “Yep”.
A Shocking Betrayal?
Kyle’s shock and apparent feeling of betrayal were evident as he interrupted their newsreader Brooklyn Ross, who was trying to ask Jackie how long she had been planning her move.
“Forget a dream,” Kyle said, before adding, “The shock here is I got nine years left with her. That’s it.”
The End of an Era?
Kyle and Jackie have worked together for an impressive 25 years, starting their partnership in 2000 as co-hosts of the Hot30 Countdown.
