GOLD COAST, QUEENSLAND – A prominent construction CEO and former Melbourne Storm player, Tye Alroe, has died suddenly at the age of 39 after suffering a heart attack at a gym in Burleigh Heads on Tuesday.
Alroe, a father of one, was pronounced dead at the scene despite paramedics’ efforts to revive him.
He leaves behind his partner, Nikki, and daughter, Poppy.
The accomplished builder had founded Alroe Construction in 2012, following a brief rugby league career.
He was known for his strong work ethic and had grown his company into a trusted and respected entity in the industry.
Industry figure and close friend Steve Hunt paid tribute to Alroe, describing him as an “exceptional businessman and an even better bloke.”
Hunt noted that Alroe was “one of the rising stars of the Gold Coast development industry” and was highly respected by his peers.
Rob Bailey also offered condolences, urging people to prioritize their health and seek medical attention if they experience any unusual symptoms.
Alroe’s company had worked on several notable projects, including The Finn on Albatross Ave, Habitat in Tugun, and Sera at Main Beach.
The industry is reeling from the loss of the young entrepreneur and family man.
