Dr Crawford was born and raised in Western Australia before moving to Victoria in 2010 to pursue a career in the health industry.
He studied at RMIT University, where he worked with the RMIT Sports Academy and clinic.
He later gained experience in sports rehabilitation and recovery in Gisborne.
Outside of his practice, Dr Crawford enjoyed staying active, keeping fit, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Tributes have poured in on social media, with many describing Dr Crawford as a “young, clever man” and a “lovely young guy.”
A funeral service was held on August 21 at St Andrew’s Uniting Church, Sunbury.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) confirmed it was providing consular assistance to Dr Crawford’s family.
A spokeswoman expressed the department’s deepest condolences and noted that due to privacy obligations, no further comment could be made.
According to DFAT’s recent Consular State of Play report, 91 Australians died in Vietnam in 2023-24, making it the fourth most deadly overseas destination.
