Australian Singer Guy Sebastian Reveals Spinal Surgery After Nerve Pain
Australian pop star Guy Sebastian has shared a shocking photo from his hospital bed, revealing he has undergone spinal surgery to alleviate severe nerve pain.
The 43-year-old singer took to Instagram on Saturday to update his fans on his condition, posting a photo of himself lying in bed with a catheter in his hand.
Severe Nerve Pain Prompts Surgery
Sebastian explained that he had been experiencing unbearable nerve pain in his spine, which had been shooting down his right side.
He described the pain as “all-consuming” and something he “wouldn’t wish on anyone.”
The singer expressed his relief that the surgery was completed and is now looking forward to making a full recovery.
Well-Wishes from Friends and Fans
The post was met with an outpouring of support from friends and followers, including Channel Seven star Larry Emdur, Home and Away icon Lynne McGranger, and Nine entertainment guru Richard Wilkins.
Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac also offered his best wishes, urging Sebastian to “get well soon” for his upcoming tour.
A Rough Year for the Singer
This is not the first health issue Sebastian has faced this year.
In January, his wife Jules revealed that he had torn his calf muscle while skiing.
Then, in May, the singer was rushed to hospital after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon during a charity football match.
Despite his health setbacks, Sebastian remains committed to his music career and is determined to “bounce back hard” for his tour early next year.
