Human Remains Found in Search for Missing 81-Year-Old Man in Clarence Valley
Police have located human remains believed to be those of an 81-year-old man who went missing in the Clarence Valley earlier this year.
The elderly man was reported missing on March 19, 2025, to officers at Parramatta Police Area Command.
Following an investigation, the case was referred to Coffs/Clarence Police District.
Despite extensive searches and four public appeals for assistance, the man and his vehicle remained missing until last week.
Discovery of Vehicle and Human Remains
On August 29, 2025, at approximately 4:20 pm, police received a report of a vehicle found in thick scrub on a property at Dirty Creek.
During a subsequent search of the area, police discovered human remains, which are believed to be those of the missing 81-year-old man.
The police will now prepare a report for the Coroner, detailing the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
