Mother’s Descent into Madness: Defence Expert Reveals Shocking Diagnosis in Murder Trial
- Accused mother’s mental state deteriorates in custody, expert tells court
- Lonely and isolated, she’s “essentially put herself into solitary confinement”
- Jury hears from psychological expert as trial expected to last another week
In a dramatic turn of events, a defence expert has revealed that the mother accused of killing her children is suffering from a “disease of the mind”. The shocking diagnosis was delivered in court as the trial entered its final stages.
Dr Kelly, a psychological expert, testified that the accused mother’s condition had worsened significantly while in custody. “She’s essentially put herself into solitary confinement … she’s really seeing very few people and is alone all the time,” the expert revealed.
The court heard that the accused mother’s friend, Cho, had attempted to console her after learning of her husband’s death. In a heartfelt message, Cho wrote: “You know that my heart is always with you right?
My dear sister, my heart aches when I think of your pain. Text me whenever you want to talk, I’ll call you right away.”
As the trial continues, the jury is expected to hear more shocking revelations about the accused mother’s mental health.
The defence expert’s diagnosis has raised questions about the mother’s capacity to stand trial and the potential consequences for her future.
