In a shocking turn of events, Nick Reiner, the son of beloved filmmaker Rob Reiner, has been arrested on homicide charges after his parents were found brutally murdered in their Los Angeles home. The 32-year-old was being held in a Los Angeles County jail on a $US4 million bond, according to jail records.
Police discovered the lifeless bodies of Rob Reiner, 78, and his wife Michele, 68, at their Brentwood neighbourhood home at 3.40pm on Sunday. The couple had been stabbed to death, local media reported.
Nick Reiner has a long history of struggling with substance abuse and homelessness.
