A man was apprehended after his mother’s body was found inside a vehicle in New South Wales. Police were called to an Evans Head apartment about 7 am on Friday following reports of a deceased individual. The woman’s 39-year-old son was then arrested at the scene. He was taken to a local police station for further questioning. No charges have been made following the incident, which occurred at Park Street. A spokesperson for the QAS said that paramedics were called to a house in Woree, near Cairns, after two toddlers were reportedly pulled unconscious from a swimming pool. They arrived at around 3.50 pm and treated the two children. The spokesperson confirmed that CPR was not carried out on the children until the paramedics arrived.
