It has been one of the worst secrets in Married At First Sight’s history that Ben Walters and Ellie Dix don’t go the distance.
During the 11th season, Ellie started to develop feelings for Jono McCullough and Ben started to date Aileen.
While the news of the couple swap and the cheating scandal broke during the season, Ben decided to go against his fellow couples by choosing to break up with Ellie at a dinner party.
In a surprising twist, Ellie publicly commented on Ben’s Facebook page, which he had changed to reflect his newfound relationship status.
She then deleted the post. In the message, she asked him if he remembered that they were friends.
During her interaction with Ben, Ellie revealed that she knew about his relationship with Aileen before he entered the Married At First Sight competition.
She also talked about the infamous “list” that he wrote about his wife. According to her, it was revealed during a recent episode of So Dramatic!
He didn’t actually write the list that he referenced in the podcast. During an appearance on the Behind the Edit podcast, which is hosted by Yahoo Lifestyle, Ben denied that he ever met his current girlfriend. He also said that the paparazzi’s attempt to make a story about him being a famous podcaster is just another attempt to create false information.
During the interview, Ben opened up about how he met Aileen, saying that they only started to date after the show ended. He said that he was not looking for a partner, and he was worried that he might not be ready for it. He also noted that he was thinking about getting back to work after filming the show.
After the show, Ben said that he was trying to absorb all of the lessons that he learned. He noted that he and Aileen were very compatible, and he warned her that he needed a break. However, she has been incredibly responsive and caring.
