A spokesperson for the QAS said that paramedics were called to a house in Woree, near Cairns, after two toddlers were reportedly pulled unconscious from a swimming pool.
They arrived at around 3.50 pm and treated the two children.
The spokesperson confirmed that CPR was not carried out on the children until the paramedics arrived.
The two kids were then taken to the Cairns Hospital in serious condition.
This incident follows the death of a four-year-girl in a pool in Adelaide, where paramedics worked incredibly hard to revive her.
She later died.
