The body of a woman was discovered in a wheelie bin on Mount Pollock Road in Buckley, which is about 25 kilometers from Geelong.
At around noon on Saturday, the body was discovered.
In footage from the area, police and detectives can be seen near the bin.
According to multiple news reports, the body was found inside the bin.
The incident is being treated as a homicide.
A second crime scene has also been established at a house on Mirka Way in Point Cook.
Investigators believe that the individuals involved are known to each other, and the suspect might have left the country.
