Divers from the NSW Police recovered the body of a man who went missing while swimming at Dangar Falls in the Northern Tablelands on Sunday.

The man, who was 31, was last seen at around 5 pm.

A search was carried out by emergency services, including the police and the SES.

It was called off on Sunday after they were not able to find the man.

On Monday, the search was resumed using the help of divers.

They were able to find the body at around 1.50pm.

A report on the incident will be submitted to the coroner.
