This week, the passing of Mike McColl Jones, a comedy writer, has resulted in tributes from various industry figures.

In a letter he wrote before his death, he expressed his gratitude to the millions of people who enjoyed his work.
He also said he would donate his remains to science.
He was 86 years old.
