Around 50 workers were affected by the voluntary administration of Melbourne’s popular Deeds Brewing Company.
Administrators were appointed this week to the company’s four associated businesses.
These include Future Proof Distilling, the Deeds Group, the Deeds Taproom, and the Deeds Brewing Company.
Glen Kanevsky and David O’Reilly of Deloitte were appointed as the joint administrators of the company.
The company was awarded multiple awards in the International Beer Awards in 2023. It has over 23,000 followers on its social media accounts.
The company was founded in 2012 by David Milstein and Patrick Ale.
It was initially located in a former car garage in Glen Iris.
In April 2020, the government granted permission for the establishment of an onsite taproom and kitchen.
During the lockdown, the company made and sold hand sanitizers.
