A horrific crash on a major Queensland highway claimed the lives of three individuals.
At around 10 pm on Friday, five cars and two semi-trailers crashed at the Walker Street and Bruce Highway intersection in Maryborough West.
Two of the vehicles caught on fire. The others included a hatchback, a van, and a caravan trailer.
According to reports, one of the vehicles was reportedly carrying paint cans.
The incident led to multiple explosions and a massive fireball.
Three people reportedly died at the scene, and three others were treated for minor injuries.
The Bruce Highway was expected to be closed for a while as emergency services attended the scene.
