The Today show’s Karl Stefanovic revealed his plan to save the upcoming Olympics in Brisbane from becoming an international embarrassment.
The event, which will be the first time that Australia will host the Olympics in three decades, is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of spectators.
However, the state government has been criticized recently after it was revealed that it would not build a new stadium in time for the event.
Instead of a new stadium, the event will be held at the Suncorp Stadium.
The state government has also reportedly decided to use the facilities of the Queensland Athletics Centre.
Today’s Karl Stefanovic said that the plan was an international embarrassment and suggested ways to fix it.
He suggested that the event be spread across the country and include opening ceremonies in all existing stadiums.
He also said that various events should be held in different areas such as the Gold Coast, Longreach, and Far North Queensland.
These would allow the country to promote its tourism industry and leave a legacy that is cheaper.
