A terrifying incident occurred at Sydney’s Bondi Junction mall on Saturday afternoon, where multiple people were stabbed.
According to witnesses, a man started stabbing people randomly before he was shot by police.
Many families were forced to run for their lives as the incident happened on the fourth level of the mall.
According to a witness, he saw two bodies in front of a JD Sports store on the fourth level of the mall.
He said that he immediately ran away from the area after hearing the gunshots. In disturbing images, a police officer is seen leaning over one of the bodies on the mall’s ground.
In a text message, a young girl reportedly said that she heard the gunshots and took cover inside David Jones.
The store closed its security doors as the situation unfolded. The police then confirmed that a man had been shot inside the mall.
Emergency services were then called to the Westfield Bondi Junction mall after reports of multiple people being stabbed.
The area was then evacuated and people were asked to avoid the area. The local authority of Sydney, the Waverley Council, also advised the public to avoid the area.
