The daughter of a wealthy businessman was reportedly shopping for make-up at Westfield Sydney mall before she was killed in a mass shooting at the nearby Westfield Bondi Junction.
Her fiancé, who is a NSW policeman, was reportedly one of the first people on the scene.
Before her wedding to Ashley Wildey, Dawn was reportedly at the Chanel store to purchase makeup.
She was set upon by Cauchi, who was allegedly on a stabbing spree. Ms. Singleton was excited about her big day, as she only bought her dress last week. Her fiancé, Mr. Wildey, was reportedly on duty when the incident occurred, and he arrived moments after his colleagues had identified her as one of the victims.
On Sunday, her friends and family shared their memories of Ms. Singleton on social media.
They described her as a kind and caring individual who lit up every room she visited. One of her bridesmaids, Jade O’Connor, said she was devastated by the tragic incident and had to write her own eulogy for her friend instead.
I am so sorry to hear about the tragic loss of my dear friend, Dawn. She was my best friend, and she was also the best dog mum ever. She was supposed to get married this year, and she was also supposed to be the mother of Baby O. I cannot imagine living without her.
Dawn was one of Mr. Singleton’s eight children, and her mother, Julie Martin, is a lawyer. She was due to get married this year to a NSW policeman, who they have known since they were in high school.
In a statement posted online, the White Fox Boutique said that it was devastated by the loss of its employee. It described Dawn as a kind-hearted individual who had her whole life ahead.
According to NSW Police, Cauchi, who was from Queensland, was 40 years old and killed five women ranging in age from 20 to 55, as well as one man in his 30s. Nine women, including Good’s infant daughter, were among the injured. A spokesperson for NSW Health stated that the infant’s condition was stable but critical.
A female victim is currently in critical condition at St. Vincent’s Hospital. A male patient is in a stable condition there, while two female victims remain at the Royal Prince of Alfred. A spokesperson from NSW Health stated that three female victims were in stable condition at The Prince of Wales.
A female patient is currently in stable condition at St. George Hospital, while another is in a serious condition at Royal North Shore Hospital. According to NSW Police, the motive behind the attack was not clear, and it’s not clear if Cauchi targeted women specifically.
