Guy Whittall, a former cricketer, almost died after he was attacked by a leopard while he was on a hunting expedition.
The incident occurred while he was running a safari business in his home country.
He was attacked while he was trying to track down a wounded leopard.
Hannah Stooks-Whittall, his wife, posted a picture of her husband on Facebook, which showed him being treated in the bush.
He had suffered several cuts on his arms and legs.
Hannah also posted a picture of her husband, who was lying in a hospital bed, giving a thumb up.
According to his wife, the former professional cricket player lost a lot of blood due to the attack, but it was his dog Chikara that saved him.
She stated that Chikara would be going to the vet later today as it had managed to get the cat away from Guy.
Hannah also thanked the hundreds of people who sent messages of support for her husband.
She stated that they were very lucky that Guy was able to get stabilised at the Hippo Clinic and that he was then airlifted to Harare via Ace Ambulance.
The incident occurred years after he almost died after being attacked by a crocodile.
In 2013, while he was staying at a game reserve, he came across a massive Nile crocodile that measured 165 kilograms.
He said he had been hanging his feet over the bed before he left the room, and he only found out about what had happened when his housemaid shouted.
Hannah told MailOnline that Guy is a very lucky man. He has survived several dangerous incidents, including the crocodile and the leopard.
