The 10-year-old child was reportedly stabbed multiple times in the head and body by her older sister in a house in Boolaroo, NSW, on Monday afternoon.
Her sister, who was 17 years old at that time, was apprehended by the police.
Responding paramedics attempted to save the girl, but she eventually died.
