Zack Norman, an actor best known for his work in movies such as Romancing the Stone and Cadillac Man, died on April 28 at the age of 83.
His son-in-law, Jeff Briller, told Deadline that the cause of death was natural.
He was born in 1940 in Boston.
Before he became an actor, Norman had been a stand-up comedian during the 60s.
He made his debut on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1969. He then got his first major role in 1984.
He played a part alongside Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny DeVito in the film Romancing the Stone.
He then went on to act in various films, including Chief Zabu (1988) and Cadillac Man (1990), before finally starring in the movie, Weekend Retreat, in 2020.
During his time on The Nanny, he played the role of Uncle Jack.
Norman was widely admired by his fans, as one individual noted that his portrayal of the role of Cadillac Man in Romancing the Stone was an “iconic” part.
He is survived by four children and 14 grandkids.
