World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic has parted ways with Marco Panichi, his long-time fitness instructor.
The Serbian star said last week that he was considering replacing his coach Goran Ivanisevic after the latter announced that he was no longer working with him.
In 2017, Panichi joined Djokovic’s team.
Together, they helped the Serbian player win 12 grand slam titles.
It’s not clear why they decided to part ways, though he praised the Italian on his social media accounts.
In an Instagram post, Djokovic thanked Panichi for his efforts and said that he had enjoyed his time working with him.
He also thanked him for making him the best possible tennis player.
The post sent a jolt through his fans, who were asking why he decided to part ways with his coaches.
Many of them noted that they would never be privy to what was going on with the Serbian tennis player.
One of his fans said that he was getting worried about the situation.
Although he had already decided to skip the Madrid Open to focus on his preparation for the upcoming grand slam tournaments, including the Paris Olympics, he still plans on competing in Rome.
In March, he also announced that he had parted ways with his coach Goran Ivanisevic.
