Australian model Sian Scale, who had worked in various cities around the world, including Paris, New York, and London, has died at the age of 28.
Scale’s family announced that she died at the Peter McCallum Centre, which is close to Melbourne’s CBD.
According to the Herald Sun, Scale was diagnosed with an incurable and rare form of cancer.
She had worked with various prominent fashion houses, such as Chanel, Burberry, and Marc Jacobs.
She was also signed to Chadwick, an agency in Australia.
In a statement, her family said that she was strong and courageous throughout her illness.
Scale’s family stated that she had never asked why she was sick.
She was described as a kind, adventurous, modest, and generous person.
She grew up in the small town of Mansfield, which is around 200 kilometers east of Melbourne.
Scale’s career as a model had seen her appear in various publications such as Vanity Fair and Vogue.
