In her new documentary, “I Am,” Celine Dion talks about how she had to take a break from performing to focus on her illness.

The Grammy award-winning singer noted that she’s working incredibly hard to get back to performing.

In the documentary, the 56-year-old singer stated that she misses her family and friends a lot.

However, she’s determined to get back on stage and perform. According to Page Six, Dion said that if she can’t run, she’ll either walk or crawl.

As she talked about her career, which started when she was 13 years old, Dion noted that she won’t stop.

She also said that she loves every aspect of her life. While working in a studio can sound great, she noted that it’s much more fun to perform in front of a crowd.

It can be hard to cancel a show, she said.

In December 2022, she revealed that she was diagnosed with a condition known as stiff person syndrome, which causes pain and stiffness in the muscles. Due to her condition, she was forced to stop her European tour dates.

In October 2021, she had to postpone her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and her North American tour. The doctors then confirmed that she has a serious medical issue. In an emotional video posted on Instagram, Dion said that she’s still passionate about performing.

During her health crisis, Dion’s sister, Claudette, opened up about her sibling’s struggles. She noted that they couldn’t find medication that could help ease her symptoms and that she lost control of her muscles. However, in February 2019, she made a surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards. She appeared on her own, without assistance, and showed that she’s on the mend.

During her speech at the Grammy Awards, Dion noted that she’s very happy to be here. She also thanked the people who have supported her during her health crisis. She noted that everyone should never take for granted the love and joy that music has brought to their lives. In March, she posted a message on Instagram, stating that she’s working hard to get back on stage.
