Celebrity chef Shannon Kellam’s company BCN Events Group, which was responsible for the running of several Brisbane restaurants and bakeries, including King Street Bakery, has collapsed.

The company’s 90 employees lost their jobs. Mark Holland, Jamie Harris, and Anthony Connelly were appointed as the liquidators of the company.

BCN Events was reportedly affected by the current state of the hospitality industry.

According to Holland, the company is currently evaluating its options. Some of the company’s well-known establishments, such as King Street Bakery and Mica, will remain closed.

The company employed about 90 workers.

In a statement, Holland said that the company will try to work with its employees and customers during this difficult time.

He also noted that Kellam’s restaurant, Montrachet, will continue to operate. BCN’s collapse is the latest example of a hospitality business that has failed due to the pandemic.

Over the past couple of weeks, prominent restaurants in Sydney, such as Lucky Kwong and Tetsuya’s, have closed.

Both of these establishments were run by celebrity chefs Kylie Kwong and Tetsuya Wakuda.

According to Wakuda and Kwong, the current economic situation has affected the restaurant industry in a major way.

They noted that everyone is feeling it. Holland also said that the company will work with its suppliers and staff members during this difficult time. Kellam is the owner of Montrachet, a multi-awarded restaurant in Brisbane.
