A body believed to be that of missing TV personality Michael Mosley was found in Greece.

It was discovered near a cave system that locals refer to as “The Abyss.”

The police are reportedly working to identify the corpse.

There are varying reports regarding the location of the body.

Some outlets claim that the corpse was found in a cave near Greece’s Agia Marina, while others claim it was found behind a fence.

The Sun claims that the body was discovered first.

A law enforcer claimed that the victim had been dead for several days.

Mosley went missing after leaving the beach on Wednesday.

His wife, Claire Bailey, released a statement to the media, stating that she would not give up hope regarding her husband’s fate.

She noted that the last time she saw her husband was three days ago.

The last few days have been incredibly difficult for Claire and her children.

The authorities and friends of the family are working incredibly hard to find Michael.

It is believed that Dr. Bailey is on the island with some of her British friends who are also searching for her husband.

The search for Mosley resumed on Saturday. His four children, who are all grown-ups, traveled to Greece to help in the recovery efforts.

Katherine, Jack, Alexander, and Daniel were all spotted on Symi, where Mosley was last seen.

According to the BBC, which has obtained footage of the incident, Mosley was seen walking near the Agia Marina in the village of Pedi at around 2:00 pm on Wednesday.

It is believed that this was the last sighting of the television personality before he disappeared. The footage shows him carrying an umbrella.

Eleftherios Papakalodoukas, the mayor of the village of Pedi, stated that it would be impossible for Mosley to continue living in the area due to the number of people in it.

He told the BBC that if something happened to the television personality, they would have found him by now.

He believed that Mosley might have fallen into the sea or followed another path.

On Saturday, firefighters were seen going into the coastal area known as “The Abyss”, which is reportedly a rocky patch that’s close to the Agia Marina.

The area is marked by water-filled tunnels that are below the surface. Mosley was most likely required to swim to access the area.

The coastguard and divers had to go through a risky route to reach the location.

According to a beachgoer, the area is like a vast underground network of tunnels that can expand for miles.

A person who has been staying near the area noted that if they fall into a hole, they might lose their sense of balance and immediately drown.

The firefighters were reportedly not able to see through the vast amount of rocks that were covered in water.

According to the Times, they spent about an hour inside the area.

An individual claimed that the firefighters were told by Mosley’s distressed wife that there were details about what the television personality was carrying when he disappeared.
