An 11-year-old boy from Perth died in September 2021.
According to the police, the child had been in need of 24-hour care since 2010, when he was injured.
He was eventually admitted to a hospital due to his worsening condition.
It has been alleged that the injuries the child suffered in 2010 were the cause of his death.
On Thursday, a man known to the child was arrested and charged with manslaughter.
He was refused bail and will appear in court on Friday.
