A woman fell to her death from the Castle Hill lookout in Townsville, in North Queensland, on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred shortly before 3 pm.
A spokesperson for the police said they were informed about the incident.
The woman, who was 35 years old, was at the top of the lookout when she fell.
Emergency responders, including a helicopter from Polair, were able to reach the area and locate the body of the woman.
According to the Emergency Services, the body was found at around 4 pm.
The police noted that the woman’s death was reportedly caused by suicide.
