The body of a woman was discovered at a waste facility in Melbourne’s north, and a murder investigation has been launched.
Workers discovered the body at a Cooper Street facility in Epping on Wednesday afternoon.
They notified the police after they found the corpse. Investigators believe the body was in a bin that was taken to the facility from a property at Coolaroo.
According to the police, the woman was reportedly in a bin that was picked up and taken to the waste facility in Epping.
A murder investigation has been launched to determine the cause of her death. On Saturday, detectives were seen taking items out of a house in Hilgay St in Coolaroo.
The identity of the woman has not been officially confirmed, and the police are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination.
They are currently examining footage from the area and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the woman and witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity in the area from June 23 to July 2.
