Over 20 animals died and several were euthanized after a truck carrying 75 cattle collided with a bridge in Melbourne, Australia.
The incident occurred at around 8.25 pm on Tuesday.
Some of the animals were able to escape the truck after it hit the bridge, but 22 of them had to be euthanized at the scene due to their condition.
Agriculture Victoria and veterinarians attended to the accident, but the animals still died.
The truck’s driver was not injured. The Alexandra Avenue was closed for around eight hours following the incident.
The road was reopened by 5.30 am on Wednesday.
