Investigations into an incident that occurred at the Melbourne Royal Show in 2022 have concluded.

In September that year, Shylah Rodden was critically injured after she was hit by a ride known as the Rebel Coaster.

A video showing the incident was captured by spectators.

According to reports, the then-26-year-old woman was trying to retrieve her phone after it fell from the ride.

A spokesperson for WorkSafe Victoria said on Monday that the investigations had concluded and no further actions would be taken.

An investigation found insufficient proof to support claims that the ride’s operator breached the OHS Act.

A source close to the investigation revealed earlier this year that the case had been concluded and sent to lawyers before the deadline for filing legal action.

The ride known as the Rebel Coaster was brought back to the event.

In September, the family of Shylah Rodden criticized online trolls for their harmful behavior toward her.

According to her mother, the family is focused on supporting her through her recovery.

Shylah has defied the odds and is making great progress, her mother said.

She noted that the family had been reluctant to speak out about the incident due to the constant criticism and abuse they have received.

The accident was a tragic incident that the family has had to deal with.

She stated that the negative comments directed at her daughter on social media and in the media have been very hurtful and have affected their progress.

The family has tried to shield her from the negativity, which has often been cruel and misguided.
