Much loved media personality and former Sunrise host Samantha Armytage is reportedly leaving the Seven Network after two decades.
According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, Armytage was offered another contract but she declined it. She will reportedly be leaving the network in October.
In an interview with the publication, Armytage said she was sad to leave but that it was the right time for her to step away.
She also stated that she was proud of how she had handled her career so far.
She also stated that her departure from the network was not the end of her career. She said it was the right time to step away and that she wanted to feel fulfilled.
She reportedly asked herself what she would like to achieve in the next few years.
She added that she was still productive and that she wanted to make good television.
The 47-year-old former presenter took over as the host of the show Farmer Wants A Wife in early 2023 following the departure of David Koch.
She had previously been the co-host of Sunrise with Koch for eight years.
Although she was replaced by Armytage on the show, Natalie Gruzlewski remained as a co-host.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Seven Network revealed that she will continue to host the dating show when it returns in 2025.
It also announced that Armytage will be leaving the company in October.
The Seven Network expressed its support for Armytage’s decision to leave the company.
In a statement, the company noted that she had made a significant contribution to the company over the years.
She was also able to bring her love for country living to her work on the show Farmer Wants A Wife.
It has been a privilege to have Sam share her love for country living with Australia, and we wish her and her farmer every success in the future.
