Journalist Jane Hansen, who was a former correspondent for A Current Affair, died on August 6 after a battle with brain cancer.
According to her family, she passed away peacefully at around 11.40 pm. She had been fighting the disease for 18 months.
She was an incredibly resilient individual who never lost her sense of humor.
In 2008, an anonymous novel titled Boned was released, which revealed the “blobish culture” of commercial television.
Nine years later, Hansen revealed that she and the book’s other author were also the co-authors.
The fiction writer noted that the book’s inspiration came from real-life events.
In her confessional, Hansen said that she and Fiona McKenzie believed that people needed to speak up.
