Former NSW police officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon has been charged with the murder of two men, one of whom was a former boyfriend.

He appeared in court via video link on Tuesday and was accused of killing Luke Davies, a flight attendant for Qantas, and television personality Jessie Baird.

Lamarre-Condon was charged with two counts of murder related to domestic violence. He was also charged with one count of breaking and entering.

Prior murder charges related to the case have been withdrawn. The incident occurred on February 19, 2019, at the home of Jessie Baird in Sydney’s inner-city suburb of Paddington.

The 29-year-old police officer was off-duty when he allegedly shot the men. According to police, the attack was carried out due to a months-long campaign of harassment against the television personality.

Four minutes after the residents of Paddington heard the gunshots, a triple-zero call was placed from Davies’ mobile phone.

A patrol car was then sent to check the source of the call. The bodies of the two men were found at a property in Bungonia, which is about 200 kilometers southwest of Sydney, on February 27.

The initial suspicions about the incident were sparked after the items belonging to the victims were discovered in a nearby skip bin. This led to police going to the home of the television personality, which was blood-splattered. On Tuesday, NSW Police Commissioner, Karen Webb, said that the force would replace its antiquated equipment tracking system.

The case of Lamarre-Condon will return to court on October 8. He was previously a NSW Police officer who joined the force in 2019. He used to run a celebrity blog where he posted photos of himself with various A-listers, such as Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, and Katy Perry. In March, he was removed from the force.
