The Queensland Police are currently investigating a series of TikTok posts made by Yingying Xu just before she killed her daughter, Sophie, who was 10 years old.

Her father, Dr. Yun Wang, found her dead at their Gold Coast home at around 6 pm on Tuesday.

The family’s neighbors reportedly heard disturbing cries from the house. They then called the police to help the family.

Xu was apprehended a couple of hours later after wandering into a nearby street. She was later charged with murder.

During a court appearance on Wednesday, the authorities refused to discuss the nature of the mental health issues that prompted Xu’s actions.

During the court proceeding, a senior police officer refused to provide details about the nature of the suspect’s mental health issues.

Instead, she referred to the case as an ongoing investigation. It’s believed that the police are still trying to piece together the reasons behind Xu’s TikTok posts.

In her TikTok posts, Xu, who is reportedly a highly religious individual, can be heard cursing and muttering in Chinese about Satan.

She also talked about the Holy Trinity and the true God. It’s been reported that the family was not previously known to the authorities.

However, the Queensland Department of Child Safety did not provide a statement regarding the incident.

The murder has shocked the residents of Carrara, who have paid tribute to Sophie by leaving flowers and messages at the crime scene.

One of the local residents said she couldn’t believe what had happened. According to one of her classmates, Sophie was a smart kid who cared about everyone.

Emmanuel College is also in mourning, with principal Dan Brown writing to parents to inform them of the tragic incident.

He said the school was devastated by the loss of one of its students. The incident reportedly happened at a home in Emerald Lakes.

The school community is in shock and is devastated by the incident. It will have a significant impact on the students and their families.

The school extends its condolences to the victim’s family and friends.
