Pintaru, who is a Romanian national of no fixed address, was charged with attempted murder.
Wearing a grey tracksuit, the suspect only spoke to confirm his name and birthdate during his court appearance.
The court was told that members of the public helped the victims after the incident, and when the police arrived, they found a man on the ground. The police did not believe that the attack was related to terrorism.
The weapon, which was a steak knife, was recovered from the scene. The suspect was not asked to enter a plea during his appearance at the court.
